Orleans Butterfly House
A3 Architects worked with Jill and Harry to design a new modern butterfly house on a quiet pond in south Orleans. The one story home sits nestled into the landscape from the street edge and opens up to a two story walkout at the back with sweeping views of the pond from a wraparound deck and screen porch.
The interior is an open floor plan that turns its back to the street edge with smaller window openings. While the south elevation (the pond view) has floor to ceiling glass, as well as intentionally directed views from a nestled in window seat with wraparound bench and fireplace.
