Historic dennis village cape
The existing Cape facing the Old Kings Highway near Dennis Village was constructed in 1768. Over the years, it had been added onto with a series of meandering additions. We restored the original cape and removed the less historic additions to create a single new addition with modern kitchen, living area and dining area. The new house is actually about 100 SF smaller than the original, but it is more coherent, open and airy. The landscaping retained the privacy hedge at the street and added a small swimming pool to the west side. The materials are in keeping with the historic materials from the original house.
