Brewster Historic House
A charming 1850's home (former school) located at a prominent intersection on historic Route 6A was cost clients over 700$ to heat per month in the winter, despite their being there only on weekends. A five year plan that address all three levels of renovation (basement, first, 2nd floors) as well as a major exterior overall that considered energy as well as new emphasis on historic features was provided. The initial phase, a summer kitchen and living area in the walk-out basement, will set the tone for upcoming phases including reintroducing a historic front porch, removing aluminum siding and an more open concept living area on the main level.
