Point of Rocks fishing shack

The existing 1930’s bungalow style Cape Cod cottage was built on a bluff overlooking the Brewster Flats as a fishing cottage. It’s charming interiors include exposed framing, double height space with dramatic ceilings and a fireplace.  The cottage is uninsulated and used just seasonally.  The homeowners wanted to be able to use the cottage more year round so A3 designed a substantial addition that plays off of the existing gambrel rooflines.  The project required extensive regulatory review for Conservation, Zoning and Historic approvals.
